Inundated
a poem

I felt lost inside your shirt,
swimming and spacious,
inundated in the smell of you.
It lingers, even though you've gone.
And I still feel your weight
pressing me down into the blankets.
Your hips in line with mine
like a perfect shadow,
Your phantom heartbeat a
bittersweet ache for comfort.
I've left the beaches behind,
their salty kisses and sweltering
embraces becoming only a fond
memory.
