Do you have kids?
My heart skips a beat.
Little son of my husband
Only mine on weekends
I worry just the same.

Do you have kids?
Air catching in my throat.
One sweet baby in heaven
Arms empty and searching
My heart still grieves.

Do you have kids?
Comes like a daily assault,
Knocks me off my feet.
No easy answers come.
Not sure…not sure.
